Fresh Pack Provisions buys from Tanzanian farming households and processes within reach of the fields that grew the crop. That closeness is deliberate, because the shorter the distance between farm and factory, the less of each harvest is lost along the way.
It also sets the terms of how we work, from volumes agreed before planting through to standards that hold whether a bag is bound for a village kiosk or a shipping container.

Every kilogram we handle passes the same three tests, how fairly it was bought, how safely it was processed, and how affordably it reaches the household at the end of the line. None of the three works on its own. A fair price means little if the grain spoils in storage, and a spotless facility means little if the food it turns out is priced beyond the families living next to it.
Buying Before the Harvest
We agree volumes and prices with farming households ahead of the season, so planting is done against a known buyer rather than a guess. Predictable demand is what allows a farm to invest in better seed, better storage and healthier soil, and it is the slowest part of this business to build.
Safe Food, Batch by Batch
Moisture testing, foreign matter screening, grading and microbial checks run on every batch before packing, and each lot carries documentation back to the farms it came from. The standard does not move between a single retail pack and a full export container.
Staples Within Reach
Processing close to where the crop is grown keeps cost out of the chain, which matters most to households buying a kilogram at a time. Smaller pack sizes, honest labelling and steady supply through the lean months are what food security looks like in practice.
